At
CHM, we aim to minister by bringing people into the presence of
Jesus, with no other agenda than to let him do what he wants to
do at that particular time.
We
also want to be here tobless people of every Christian spiritual
tradition. We want you to be comfortable here.
All
the ministry at CHM is entirely free, but we welcome donations to
help with the high cost of running the Mission.
There
are a number of ways in which we can offer ministry to you:
Soaking
Prayer
This takes place most Tuesday afternoons from 2.15 - 3.15
pm. Visitors gather together in the Chapel for a short talk, followed
by a time of guided meditation where they are encouraged to focus
on the person of Jesus and enjoy resting quietly in his presence
while Prayer Ministers move around gently praying for each person.
The emphasis is very much on people remaining engaged with his presence
and allowing him to do his healing work in the quiet. This is an
ideal time for those who want to experience a little of what goes
on at CHM, or who would like to keep receiving his touch.
Drop-In
Until the end of February, we are holding 'drop-in' prayer times
between 2.00 and 3.30 pm on Wednesday afternoons. No appointment
is needed for these sessions and visitors can arrive at any time
during those 90 minutes. It may be necessary to wait until Prayer
Ministers become available, and we cannot guarantee that you will
see the same Prayer Ministers each time you come, but you will certainly
receive prayer for healing. These times are suited for those who
don't feel that they need a long appointment. We anticipate that
the time with Prayer Ministers will be shorter than a full appointment.
Appointments
Appointments can be made for prayer at our premises in Hammersmith
with two of our Prayer Ministers (trained and supervised by us).
These sessions will give you an opportunity to share your healing
need and receive a longer period of prayer (usually around an hour).
If you return for further appointments we try to arrange some continuity
with the Prayer Ministers.
