S wrote: My husband and I are members of a cell group which was looking for a study course. Several of the group said how about something on prayer and they know that I am involved with CHM. The day of our first meeting I received your email telling me of John’s revision of ‘Help! Someone wants prayer’. So, with my heart in my mouth, I suggested that we look at the course and to my amazement they all agreed. We have done the first two sessions with me leading and it has gone down a storm!
S had hurt her knee and when she arrived at church it was too painful to cross one leg over the other. During prayer she felt a great weight on her shoulders and all the pain in her knee went. She could move it easily and painlessly once again.
D had been building a wall and strained the muscle all along his thigh so was walking very badly. After prayer it was so much easier and less troublesome.
A lady had trouble with her back and she sensed a real fire-ball within her when she received prayer. Afterwards she sat on the floor and tried to do some movements that she normally could not manage – only now she could! In fact, a friend went up to her to remark how supple she was!
M received prayer at CHM and gave thanks that she has slept well over the past week and she has not been disturbed by the ‘voices’ which were plaguing her for several weeks.
J was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was told the tumour was huge, 22cm x 16 cm, and really thought with a tumour that size, her only hope was a miracle from God. She was told she would start off with nine weeks of chemotherapy and if the tumour had shrunk enough she would be operated on or it would be more chemo. She came to CHM in London and didn’t feel any different but was told, “Even if you don’t feel anything different, God will have done something”.
She was impatient to start things moving and get on with the chemotherapy. However, she kept getting called back to hospital for more tests. The consultant then told her they now believed it was a ‘borderline’ ovarian tumour, which basically mimics cancer with abnormal cells but does not invade other organs. It could be operated on and removed. The surgeon has now operated and J is recovering well.
J wrote that she had believed the only way God would heal her would be by shrinking the large tumour, but His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not ours............and the day she got this good diagnosis, her daily email scripture was:
With all your heart you must trust the LORD and not your own judgment. Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow.
